Thanksgiving 2013

Has it really been a month since I've last written?  Geez...I think the holidays are catching up with me!  I flew back into Los Angeles from New Mexico where I spent the Thanksgiving weekend with my family and I am still dreaming of my mom's home cooking! I was hatching a plan to smuggle the leftovers onboard but all scenarios led to TSA taking me down in the middle of the concourse and handcuffing me with those little zipties.  So wisely I left them at my sister's house. A friend told me about a stuffing recipe which includes green chile,  I'm dieing to try THAT next year, sounds weird I know but NM loves it green chile!

Thanksgiving truly gave me an opportunity to reflect on all that I am thankful for this year.   I was able to meet my first niece, Mayah Analee, who was born two weeks ago and I am smitten! She was a perfect addition to a family of three and her big brother is loving having a playmate. It was definitely sad to say goodbye, but i'm so thankful for their sweet, fun and precious little selves.  We had so much fun going on walks, playing with cars and exploring the farmer's market together.

I also had the opportunity to play a little music over the weekend which in turn made me realize how much I had missed playing.  I was pretty rusty but had a great on the lookout for a Christmas video coming your way before Dec. 25!

And to round out the weekend I was able to talk to Liz Young for the first time since her surgery and it was amazing!!!  I have missed talking to her everyday! It is remarkable to watch God continue to heal her each day and make her stronger by the minute!  She truly is my hero!  She posted this before and after xray on her Instagram and has allowed me to share it with you.

Isn't it remarkable!!!  I mean the Lord is incredible!!!  She is doing really, really, really well and is so thankful for all of your prayers.  Please continue to keep her on your prayer list as she continues to heal and transition back into everyday activities.

I hope that you have had an amazing, restful, and very thankful Thanksgiving holiday!!  I'd love to hear how you spent yours and what favorite foods graced your holiday table!

I have a little announcement to share with you next please make sure to check back for that as I promise it's going to be a fun one...I'm SOOO excited!!

With Love,
